The HTD83-SQV operates on a fully automatic electrical control system powered by a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller). The machine integrates two core functions – pin box injection molding and connecting – into one continuous process.
Injection Molding Unit – Plastic material (resin or Delrin) is heated to a precise melting temperature and injected into a custom-designed mold cavity that sits directly on the zipper tape. The PLC controls injection pressure, temperature, holding time, and cooling cycle to ensure each pin box is formed with consistent dimensions and strong bonding to the tape.
Connecting Unit – After the pin box is molded and solidified, a mechanical connecting mechanism (driven by electric servo motors) automatically joins the one side tape with one side slider together of the open-end zipper, completing the assembly.
The entire process is synchronised by the PLC, which coordinates feeding, positioning, injection, cooling, connecting, and ejection with high precision and repeatability.
